Insta-Ken is a peek behind the eyes of photo fanatic Kenneth Feldman – that’s me!
For work and play, I’ve been snapping everything from runway fashion shows, advertising images, and interior designs, back to model airplanes at age 8 when I got my first Kodak cartridge camera.
But these days, I’ve swapped my hulking 35mm digital SLR with its bevy of lenses for a simple iPhone. That’s right! Every image from Insta-Ken is captured through the aperture of an iPhone with a couple of lens attachments (a small high quality glass fisheye and wide-angle).
I keep these in my pocket and ever ready to sneak a snapshot as I run errands in my Brooklyn neighborhood and marvel the sights, sounds and smells of NYC and my world travels.
An old Brooklyn brownstone poses for it’s portrait. A steaming street food cart stands in the spotlight. Through my lens, the everyday is extraordinary. The mundane, majestic. My eyes enhance the world as it is.
No photo shoots, no poses, no prep. And no studio processing later at another time. Just a quick crop or an on-the-go color adjustment, and I immediately post my images on Instagram. This is reality as I see it now.
